Overview

Sugar Rush Orange' has upright clusters of burnt orange through to scarlet-orange and paler-toned blooms that fill the air with delicious scent above a cushion of dark green foliage. Tough and easy to grow, these F1 hybrids will often flower over several months from spring to early summer, providing a long season of interest, in pots, containers, or borders.

  • Soil: moderately fertile, well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil
  • Rate of growth: average to fast
  • Flowering Period: March to June (and occasionally in winter)

Care guide

Plant this 9cm pot straight out into well-prepared borders or into pots filled with a good quality potting mix. Apply a generous layer of mulch and provide overnight cloche or fleece protection where frosts are very severe or prolonged. Once they start to flower, regular deadheading will help extend the display.

How your order will arrive

Pots and Packaging
Our 9cm pots are given extra packaging to protect the plant. This extra packaging consists of a recyclable plastic blister pack which is then placed in a cardboard box for delivery.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.

Typically plants are delivered ready to plant and will take some time to settle, grow and look more like the product image above.
