Overview

Masses of magenta-pink flowers emerge from dark buds to cover this small, rounded, spreading deciduous crab apple tree in pinkish loveliness from mid-spring. Bronze-tinted foliage follows the flowers and darkens with age. Later in the year, small reddish fruits gradually turn orange over time. The fruits of 'Indian Magic' can remain on the tree beyond Christmas and are seasonal gifts gobbled up by blackbirds!

Care guide

Plant 'Indian Magic' as soon as conditions allow (avoiding frozen and waterlogged soil). Choose a sheltered spot to protect emerging blossom. Incorporate lots of well-rotted garden compost in the planting hole and stake and support firmly. If required, prune in winter to remove any dead, diseased or crossing branches.

Pots and Packaging
Bare root plants are either wrapped in plastic bags or waxed paper where possible and then placed into a cardboard box.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.

Typically plants are delivered ready to plant and will take some time to settle, grow and look more like the product image above.
