Overview

Delightful pure white annual with delicate filigree foliage . Position: full sun Soil: moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil Rate of growth: fast Flowering period: June to September Hardiness: hardy annual A classic cottage garden annual that is as splendid in seed as it is in flower, making it a real floral arranger's dream. White, single, horizontally-held flowers with deep purple stamens and stigma rise tall above finely divided foliage. As the blooms fade, pale green seed pods dry and develop, maturing to a dark purple. Lovely at all stages of flowering and seeding, try these jumbo 'African Bride' seedlings in a sunny spot for fabulous filler foliage for the cut flower vase. Grown individually in cell trays, each plant measures about 7 - 10cm tall (from the base of the root to the top of the plant). Delivered in plastic-free packaging, they are ideal for keen gardeners who have a greenhouse, where the plants can be grown on until they are ready for planting outside after all risk of frost has passed.
