The chosen varieties will all cross-pollinate freely, so there is no need to plant another tree nearby, making it particularly useful for smaller gardens. This tree has been grafted with the following varieties - 'Conference' AGM - originating from Hertfordshire in 1885, this dessert pear is still one of the most reliable and sought after. The delicious, long, yellowish green fruits ripen in September. 'Doyenné Du Comicé ' AGM - an outstanding pear, which is renowned for its flavour, texture and taste. Ready to harvest in mid October.'Williams' Bon Chrétien'- an old English variety dating back to 1770, yielding an early crop of very sweet and juicy pears that have a greenish gold skin. Ready to harvest from August.
