Overview

A trailing, magenta-crimson petunia bedding plant for baskets and pots. One of the most impressive of the trailing petunias, 'Shock Wave' produces an abundance of magenta-crimson flowers throughout the summer. It looks sublime when cascading over the edges of a pot or hanging basket either or its own, or teamed with deep purples, softer pink or silver. Grown individually in cell trays, each plant measures about 7 - 10cm tall (from the base of the root to the top of the plant). They are ideal for keen gardeners who have a greenhouse where the plants can be grown on until they are ready for planting out in the garden once all chance of frost has passed. Please note: We grow these especially for you, so we do request that full payment is made when you place your order. See above for despatch dates for this particular plant. To ensure that your plants arrive in the best possible condition each pack will be despatched individually. Please also be aware that the pot and/or hanging basket in the photos are not included.

In May when all risk of frost has gone, transplant outdoors where the plants are to flower. Keep well watered and feed at regular intervals with a high potash fertiliser (such as Tomorite).

How your order will arrive

Pots and Packaging
Large plugs are placed in a cardboard mold in groups of five. This is then placed inside a fitted box ready for transport.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.

Typically plants are delivered ready to plant and will take some time to settle, grow and look more like the product image above.
