Overview

Showy in summer and autumn. When in flower (for many months from midsummer), this aromatic perennial is an impressive sight. The flowers are a lush shade of reddish pink, with just a hint of purple, and they seem to mix with just about everything. They also appear in abundance and will help attract beneficial pollinators including bees. 'Red Fortune' is a low maintenance plant, that is happiest in a sunny, slightly sheltered spot with freely draining soil.

Care guide

They can be short-lived, but are easily propagated by semi-ripe cuttings in early summer. Avoid excessive winter wet and don't cut back the faded flower-stems until early spring, as they provide interest in the winter months.

Pots and Packaging
Our 9cm pots are given extra packaging to protect the plant. This extra packaging consists of a recyclable plastic blister pack which is then placed in a cardboard box for delivery.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.
