Overview

This strong-growing cultivar boasts an abundance of elegant, deep pinkish-red flowers, each one artfully speckled with burgundy and showcasing a pristine white lip that creates striking contrast.

The lush, long green leaves provide a verdant foil to the vibrant blooms, which the plant reliably produces in generous clusters throughout the early and later parts of the year.

Whether showcased as a solo specimen on a sunny windowsill or integrated into a larger indoor garden, Cymbidium 'Sinterklaas' exudes an air of tropical exudes an air of tropical elegance that instantly elevates any bright, indirectly lit space.

Please note that the plant will arrive in bud or flower, and comes in a 14cm nursery pot as standard, unless a decorative pot cover is included as an option.

Care guide

This orchid prefers cooler growing conditions, between 10-14°C (50-57°F) in the winter, and below 30°C (86°F) in the summer in a well lit lit place, with good ventilation but not in full sun. Let the compost dry out slightly on the surface before watering with tepid soft water, or rainwater, allowing any excess water to drain away and then remove - don't leave the plant sitting in water.

Feed through the summer with an orchid feed. It may produce roots outside the pot, but this is nothing to worry about. Once the flowers have finished, cut back the flower spikes to the base. Pot on using a specialist orchid compost.
