Overview

A longer-lived perennial form. Acting as a magnet to bees, the yellow, trumpet-shaped flowers that appear on the upright flowerspikes from early summer, add vertical movement to the planting scheme. Ideally suited to the woodland edge, they also make wonderful additions to the herbaceous border.

Care guide

Ensure that the soil is kept moist in summer. After flowering cut back the flowered spikes to encourage more sideshoots. Cut down to the ground after flowering. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-ro tted organic matter around the plant in early spring. These plants are short-lived perennials, although they will produce plenty of new side shoots and self-seed freely.

Pots and Packaging
Our 9cm pots are given extra packaging to protect the plant. This extra packaging consists of a recyclable plastic blister pack which is then placed in a cardboard box for delivery.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.

Typically plants are delivered ready to plant and will take some time to settle, grow and look more like the product image above.
