Overview

An easy to grow decorative groundcover. The handsomely lobed leaves of this low-growing semi-evergreen perennial are a deep burgundy, however the tops of the leaves are generously dusted in silver. This creates quite a distinctive two tone effect, which is further enhanced by the darker veining running through the silver. A wonderful contrast plant for the front of the border, it also looks great in pots and windowboxes. The sprays of creamy white flowers, which rise above the foliage in summer, are an added bonus.

Care guide

Lift and divide large clumps in early autumn and replant with the crown just above the surface of the soil. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted organic matter around the crown of the plant in spring.

Pots and Packaging
Our 9cm pots are given extra packaging to protect the plant. This extra packaging consists of a recyclable plastic blister pack which is then placed in a cardboard box for delivery.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.

Typically plants are delivered ready to plant and will take some time to settle, grow and look more like the product image above.
