Overview

Softly coloured yet full of charm, this cultivated variety stands out with generously sized lavender-mauve flowers that sit clearly above neat, mid-green foliage. The blooms carry a strong, sweet fragrance and appear in steady waves, giving containers and borders a fresh, welcoming feel from late spring onwards. Its naturally compact, bushy shape keeps displays looking full and well balanced without constant fuss, making it an easy choice for pots, window boxes, and the front of sunny borders.

Nemesia ‘Mirabelle’ delivers reliable performance through the season and copes well with changeable and inclement weather. Treat it as a bedding plant or a tender perennial in a sheltered spot, and remove faded flowers to encourage even more blooms. It’s a light, elegant plant that works hard for gardeners who want colour, scent, and length of flowering throughout the summer season.

Care guide

Our bedding range and bedding collections (where available) are offered as seedlings, cuttings, and potted plants.

Pot up seedlings and cuttings and grow them on under glass until the risk of frost has passed. Once conditions are warmer, they can be planted directly into well-prepared beds, or used to fill patio pots, window boxes, and hanging baskets for long-lasting seasonal colour. Larger 9cm bedding plants don’t usually need potting on but will benefit from initial frost protection in spring.

To keep bedding plants looking their best, and where applicable, pinch out the tips to promote bushier growth and water regularly, especially in containers where compost dries out quickly. Feed with a high-potash fertiliser every couple of weeks to encourage continuous flowering. Deadhead faded blooms, as required, to extend the display and keep plants tidy, ensuring vibrant summer flowers from planting time right through to the first frosts.
