Mandevilla Topper Red Yellow Eye, boasts a profusion of striking red trumpet-shaped flowers adorned with a captivating yellow eye and throat.

Its compact and well-branched habit, unlike many climbers, avoids long, straggly growth, making it ideal for containers and hanging baskets in a brightly lit indoor setting.

This sun-loving plant thrives in warm conditions and produces a delightful fragrance, most noticeable in the evening. Whether trained over a trellis or allowed to cascade from a hanging basket, this floriferous sun-lover adds a touch of the tropics as a summer garden annual or conservatory tropical perennial houseplant.

Care guide

Mandevilla is best grown as a tropical houseplant and will require a large pot, and is best sited in a well-lit conservatory or heated glasshouse.

Apply a general purpose fertiliser during the growing season and avoid overwatering in winter. In late-winter or early-spring thin out over-crowded growth by pruning side-shoots to within three or four buds of the main woody woody stems of the plant.

Avoid contact with its white sap, which can cause irritation.
