Installation

  • Gently unfurl the spiral tree guard and wrap it around the trunk of your newly planted tree from the base upwards. Ensure the guard sits securely around the stem without restricting growth. If using with a support stake, position the guard around the trunk before securing the tree with a tie. Check the guard periodically as the tree grows and remove or replace it if it becomes restrictive.

Material details

Made primarily from polylactic acid (PLA), this spiral tree guard is designed to provide reliable protection during the early years of tree growth before naturally breaking down. The ventilated spiral design allows air to circulate around the trunk while preventing moisture build-up.

The guard is fully biodegradable and has been independently tested to meet EU compostability standards. Once in contact with soil, the material will naturally decompose under suitable temperature and humidity conditions, removing the need for collection and disposal.
