Overview

Large, single, white mallow-like flowers up to 12cm across with a lacy centre from August to October. This tree hollyhock is ideal towards the back of a sheltered, sunny border. Vigorous and easy to grow, it's one of the best varieties for cooler areas of the country, since the petals stand up well to wind and rain.

Care guide

To encourage a bushy habit prune young plants hard in late spring. After pruning apply a generous 5-7cm mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant. Once established it requires little if any regular pruning. Please note: the plant is supplied in a nursery pot, but if you do wish to pot it up for the patio we have a great range on our website.

How your order will arrive

Pots and Packaging
Larger pots (2L and above) are wrapped in waxed paper and then attached to a cardboard base so they stay stable in the box. The waxed paper prevents the compost from spilling out and gives the base some added protection from damp compost. For large numbers of plants, pallets may be used for shipping.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.
