Overview

An impressive long-flowerer. Upright spikes of semi-double flowers appear from August to October at the tips of the leafy branches of this beautiful Scots heather. Initially a rich cerise-red, the flowers turn a beautiful shade of ruby-red, which is accentuated by the dark green foliage. Compact and easy to grow, it's an ideal ground cover for sunny areas, where it will provide a long season of interest. An AGM recipient - and deservedly so!

Care guide

When planting incorporate lots of composted pine needles or leaf-mould into the planting hole. In March or April cut back the flowered shoots to within 2.5cm (1in) of the old growth.

Pots and Packaging
Our 9cm pots are given extra packaging to protect the plant. This extra packaging consists of a recyclable plastic blister pack which is then placed in a cardboard box for delivery.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.

Typically plants are delivered ready to plant and will take some time to settle, grow and look more like the product image above.
