Native to South Africa, this bushy perennial is a great option for rockeries and pots where its 2.5cm (1") sky-blue daisy-like flowers with yellow centres can be best appreciated. Blooming over a long season from summer through autumn, Felicia amelloides is drought and wind resistant once established and provides an abundance of nectar for pollinating insects. Commonly grown as an impressive and spreading seasonal plant in cottage and Mediterranean gardens, or as colourful edging for paths and borders, 'Kingfisher Daisy' requires good drainage and will need frost protection during the winter.
