Overview

Large, rounded heads of pure white trumpet-shaped flowers from June to August above clumps of slender, strap-shaped, mid-green leaves. This pure white form of African blue lily is ideal for brightening the back of a sunny, moist but well-drained herbaceous border. For the best results lift and divide dense clumps in spring and protect the crown of the plant with a dry winter mulch in cold, exposed areas.

Care guide

Keep well-watered during the growing season, applying a balanced liquid fertiliser each month from spring until the plant flowers. Towards the end of September ease back on the watering and feeding of plants in containers to allow the foliage to toughen up. In cold, exposed areas protect the crown of the plant with a deep, dry winter mulch.

Pots and Packaging
Bare root plants are either wrapped in plastic bags or waxed paper where possible and then placed into a cardboard box.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.

Typically plants are delivered ready to plant and will take some time to settle, grow and look more like the product image above.
