What plants can I grow in a planter water feature?

All plants need water to survive, but that doesn't mean that all plants will thrive in a water feature environment. Water features can be very humid when exposed to sunlight and any soil is likely to be continually damp. This means that any plants you're considering for your herb planter water feature should be able to thrive or at least withstand humid conditions.

Consider also the height of the plants - plants that grow tall could eventually detract from the appearance of your water feature by covering it entirely. Similarly, slow-growing plants can easily be missed in the landscape of larger water features.
