Installation

  • Insert the natural bamboo stake firmly into the ground before or alongside planting, taking care not to damage the roots. Apply the Empathy Rootgrow™ Gel and Empathy Biofertiliser as directed on the packaging during planting. Secure the tree to the stake using the Super Soft Rubber Tree Tie in a figure of eight, allowing slight movement while preventing the trunk from rubbing against the stake.
  • Check the tie regularly and adjust as the tree grows. Once the tree is well-established, typically after two to three years, remove the stake and tie to allow for natural development.

Material details

The natural bamboo support stake provides strong, lightweight support while your tree establishes. The included super soft rubber tree tie is flexible and weather-resistant, providing secure support without rubbing or cutting into the trunk as the tree grows. The biodegradable tree guard offers temporary protection against browsing wildlife before naturally breaking down over time.

The kit also includes Empathy Rootgel, containing mycorrhizal fungi that help develop a stronger secondary root system for improved water and nutrient uptake, together with Empathy Biofertiliser, a blend of naturally sourced nutrients and beneficial soil bacteria that promotes healthy establishment and long-term plant vigour. For best results, always follow the application instructions provided on each packet.
