Care guide

Prepare the bed well by digging in lots of composted organic matter before planting. For best results, it is essential that the plants are kept well watered for the first year, particularly during warmer weather. Removing the faded blooms regularly will prolong flowering and encourage more to come. Cut back and compost the spent flower stems in autumn and apply a dry mulch around the crown of the plant to protect against frost damage.
