Overview

A spectacular sight when in full bloom, this fast-growing climber also has attractive foliage, so it still looks lush and green when not in bloom. The trumpet-shaped flowers are a tropical-looking shade of peachy orange, and they appear in clusters in late summer and autumn. It looks great when trained over a sunny, sheltered wall or fence - and will need lots of space to spread out.

Care guide

Until the plant has fully established, the shoots need to be trained and tied to a trellis or framework of horizontal wires. In February or March prune the sideshoots to within three or four buds of the permanent framework of the plant. It's happiest when grown on a warm, sunny wall where it can be protected from hard frosts.

How your order will arrive

Pots and Packaging
Larger pots (2L and above) are wrapped in waxed paper and then attached to a cardboard base so they stay stable in the box. The waxed paper prevents the compost from spilling out and gives the base some added protection from damp compost. For large numbers of plants, pallets may be used for shipping.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.
