Overview

A beautiful weeping tree that is ideal for the smallest gardens and will thrive in large tubs. Its long, weeping branches are smothered in pure white flowers in March and April and create a cascade effect. The flowers are produced on the current year's growth, so the branches can be pruned hard each year after flowering if required. The leaves are small, mid-green, and turn lush shades of burgundy and red in autumn. This is a top-grafted plant, so it has a nice and bushy crown. This grafting process also helps keep the plant compact.

Care guide

When planting, incorporate lots of well-rotted compost in the planting hole and stake firmly. If potting up use John Innes No.3 compost and make sure it is kept well watered during warm weather. Any necessary pruning should be done in summer to reduce the risk of bacterial canker.

How your order will arrive

Pots and Packaging
Larger pots (2L and above) are wrapped in waxed paper and then attached to a cardboard base so they stay stable in the box. The waxed paper prevents the compost from spilling out and gives the base some added protection from damp compost. For large numbers of plants, pallets may be used for shipping.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.
