H60cm Tall Corten Steel Planter
This planter has been made using a innovative material called corten steel. It will arrive looking the same as many other steel planters, but after just a few days of use, it will start to develop a protective, rust-like surface. This layer protects against further corrosion, and it is completely unique, so while every planter looks alike, no two planters are identical.
Create your own delightful display with your favourite plants in this lovely tall, corten steel planter. With its organic and earthy quality, it works especially well in the garden, highlighting brightly coloured plants and beautiful brickwork.
Please Note: this process can take up to 4-5 months to develop completely. Once the planter has developed its protective rust layer it has the potential to stain objects it comes in contact with, please be mindful where you place your planter.

What is corten steel?
Corten is a type of steel that naturally weathers over time, and developing an attractive and protective rust layer. Although somewhat paradoxical, the steel surface of the planter develops a coating of rust which is engineered to protect against further corrosion and keep the steel under-layer in good condition.
In other words, the steel is allowed to rust in order to form the protective coating. This protective layer develops due to the elements that are active in the alloys of the steel. It regenerates continuously when subjected to the influence of water and oxygen.
