Garden Ceramic Planters & Pots
At Primrose we offer a wide range of glazed ceramic pots in various shapes and sizes to suit all of your plant container needs.
Fired in an extremely high temperature kiln, our ceramic pots are not as porous as other materials and are highly durable. This reduced porousness helps to prevent water from entering and damaging the material so your plants can live happily.
Aside from their durability, there's many designs to choose from. We offer contemporary geometric pattern planters, tile effect planters and glazed jade planters. No matter what your personal style, we have a ceramic planter that will fit in perfectly with your space.

Ceramic Planters FAQs
What are ceramic planters made of?
Our ceramic plant pots are made of clay that's been shaped and fired in a kiln at extremely high temperatures. The firing process removes any moisture from the clay, hardening it and making it more resistant to breaking. Once that's complete, the planters are finished with a smooth glaze, typically in a lighter colour, to give them a unique decorative appearance. Are ceramic planters suitable for the outdoors?
Ceramic planters can be used both indoors and outdoors and as such are a great option for garden and house plants. As they are able to retain moisture, they are also perfect for tropical plants since these tend to thrive in humid conditions. To prevent waterlogging, our ceramic containers are manufactured with drainage holes, meaning particularly wet conditions shouldn't be a worry.
During extreme weather conditions, we recommend using pot feet to protect your container as ceramic may crack if exposed to freezing temperatures for long periods of time. Alternatively, check out our other resilient planter materials such as fiberglass and fiberstone.
Looking after your plant pots is a sure-fire way to ensure they last as long as you want them to. To give them proper care is essential, which is why we provide a detailed guide on how to look after your planters - an in-depth guide that provides help for several types of planter materials.
Are ceramic planters heavy?
Our ceramic plant pots vary in size and weight depending on their shape and design. In general, ceramic tends to be heavier than fiberglass or plastic, which may be a consideration for you when selecting the right planter for your space. To determine whether a particular planter is right for you, consider the weight of the plant and soil added to it and how often you plan to move the planter around.
