Overview

One of the most popular varieties of pink, and also hailed as one of the longest flowering. 'Gran's Favourite' is a 'laced' variety, which means the scented flowers are made up of two colours - with a contrasting centre and edge to the petals. This one has ruffled white petals with a splotch of deep purple-red in the centre and edge. It is sturdy and compact, and is best planted towards the front of a perennial border or rock garden - or in a pot.

Care guide

Incorporate lots of well-rotted manure or garden compost into the planting hole. Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring and deadhead to prolong flowering.

Pots and Packaging
Our 9cm pots are given extra packaging to protect the plant. This extra packaging consists of a recyclable plastic blister pack which is then placed in a cardboard box for delivery.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.

Typically plants are delivered ready to plant and will take some time to settle, grow and look more like the product image above.
