This low-growing perennial, whether adorning aquatic or marginal settings, weaves a captivating tapestry with its dense mat of small, kidney-shaped to rounded leaves boasting shallow lobes and toothed margins. Care guide

Plant out in reliably moist or boggy soil, or pot up into a pond basket and place at the margins of a pond in shallow water no deeper than 20cm (8"). While low maintenance, cut back regularly to control spread. Divide congested clumps in early spring every few years and be mindful of not disposing of cuttings into local waterways where it could become invasive.
