Overview

A compact variety with blue-purple flowers. A compact lavender, named after Gertrude Jekyll's garden at Munstead Wood. It produces dense spikes of fragrant, bluish-purple summer flowers above slender, aromatic, grey-green leaves. This is a lovely lavender for edging paths and borders; the aromatic foliage perfumes the air if you brush against it. It also works well in a gravel garden, or clipped into a formal sphere for a contemporary look. The flower-spikes are highly attractive to bees and other nectar-loving insects.

Care guide

Cut back the stalks after the flowers have faded. Carefully trim back in April, taking care not to cut into old wood.

Pots and Packaging
Our 9cm pots are given extra packaging to protect the plant. This extra packaging consists of a recyclable plastic blister pack which is then placed in a cardboard box for delivery.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.

Typically plants are delivered ready to plant and will take some time to settle, grow and look more like the product image above.
