Overview

A very pretty dwarf crab apple, that makes an excellent addition to smaller gardens. In spring, it produces a mass of coral pink buds which burst open to double rose pink flowers, giving a delightful two-tone effect just as the lush green leaves start to appear. From late summer, these are followed by bronze fruits, which remain until well into winter. The crown of this small tree has been grafted onto the upright stem of the rootstock at a height of 45cm, which will limit the eventual height. Perfect for a small garden or growing in a large pot.

Care guide

When planting incorporate lots of well-rotted garden compost in the planting hole and stake firmly. Remove dead, diseased and crossing branches while the tree is dormant.

How your order will arrive

Pots and Packaging
Larger pots (2L and above) are wrapped in waxed paper and then attached to a cardboard base so they stay stable in the box. The waxed paper prevents the compost from spilling out and gives the base some added protection from damp compost. For large numbers of plants, pallets may be used for shipping.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.
