How Your Plant Will Arrive Planting Requirements Planting Guide
As we recommend with all plants, you should regularly water your Passion Flower once planted, ideally for the next few months. Come winter, these waterings can be reduced.
When planting, dig a hole twice the circumference of the pot. Ensure that the pot sits roughly level with the soil, with the graft point above the soil. Fill the remaining space with a mix of compost and garden soil. Make sure that you firm down the soil, but not so you are compressing it down.
When it comes to feed, less is more for your Passion Plant. Regular feeding can actually encourage excessive greenery, as opposed to flowers! Only feed if your plant is growinga little too weak, preferably with an all purpose fertiliser.
Lovingly grown by our trusted nursery, your climbing plant will be delivered right to your doorstep. This approach means that you will receive nursery fresh plants that were on the growing table one day, and at your door the following! Our expert nursery have spent decades perfecting the art of watering, feeding, and pruning climbing plants and will do so until hours before they are packed.
Each plant has been grown on a cane and is later expertly packaged into a specially designed, extra thick cardboard box. They will then be sent via a delicate courier network to prevent any chance of damage in transit.
Please note, while the plants (detailed on the right), are our Lonicera varieties, they are a good indication of the quality you can expect to receive.

Despite their exotic appearance, Passion Flowers are very easy to grow! Their growth and output will likely be excellent providing you follow our planting and care instructions. Below we address some common query topics:
- Hardiness: Hardy plants, Passion Flowers will cope well in the UK climate. However, we recommend planting them in a sheltered site so they are safe from cold, drying winds.
- Position: Passion Flowers will be perfectly happy in either full sun or dappled shade. If you are growing your Passion Flower in a south-facing greenhouse, provide some shade as their leaves can become scorched.
- Soil: Your Passion Flower will appreciate most types of soil, but we suggest moderately fertile, well-drained soil with a good degree of moisture.
