Overview

With its heart-shaped, water-repellent leaves concealing a short stem, Phyllanthus fluitans adds a touch of the tropics to any aquatic setting. Originating from the Amazon river basin, this floating plant boasts a delightful variation in leaf colour, ranging from vibrant green to deep red hues. Under optimal conditions, it graces the water's surface with slightly reddish leaves, and reddish roots, adorned with petite white flowers. Easy to maintain, simply skim off any excess growth to keep your aquatic setting balanced and beautiful.

Supplied as bunches, this plant can be dropped into ponds after the risk of frost has passed. This plant cannot withstand UK winters outdoors. Transfer specimens indoors during colder months, maintaining them in warm, moderately lit aquarium until spring arrives, or treat as a helpful and graceful annual
