Delicious and de-lovely! - desirable for decorating deserts, 'Gloire De Sablons' is a stunning, translucent pale pink currant with a delicate fragrance and is sweet and juicy. Imagine these berries blended within and sitting atop a summer pudding - the most perfect garnish!

Care guide

Prepare the ground well before planting. Remove all weeds and dig in plenty of well-rotted manure in to the area. Once planted, apply a mulch of well-rotted manure every spring, as well as a nitrogen and potassium fertiliser. Make sure the plant is watered in dry weather and net the bushes to protect the currants from birds. In the first year, prune back to one bud above soil level in winter. After that prune out weak branches only.

How your order will arrive

Pots and Packaging
Larger pots (2L and above) are wrapped in waxed paper and then attached to a cardboard base so they stay stable in the box. The waxed paper prevents the compost from spilling out and gives the base some added protection from damp compost. For large numbers of plants, pallets may be used for shipping.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.
