Overview

This compact black-eyed Susan will put on a particularly abundant display of flowers from midsummer. The yellow daisy-like flowers look luminous sitting on top of stout branching stems, which rise above the bushy mounds of lush green foliage. Standing just knee high, 'Little Goldstar' is ideal for pots and containers, as well as prolonging the seasonal interest towards the front of front of the mixed or herbaceous border.

Care guide

Water regularly during dry spells and deadhead to prolong flowering. After flowering cut the flowered stems to the ground and apply a generous mulch of well-rotted garden compost or horse manure around the base of the plant. Once established, lift and divide congested clumps in autumn or spring.

Pots and Packaging
Larger pots (2L and above) are wrapped in waxed paper and then attached to a cardboard base so they stay stable in the box. The waxed paper prevents the compost from spilling out and gives the base some added protection from damp compost. For large numbers of plants, pallets may be used for shipping.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.
