Overview

Position: full sun Soil: fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil Rate of growth: average to fast-growing Flowering period: June to September Hardiness: hardy annual Masses of highly fragrant, bi-coloured blooms appear from July to September adding colour and sweet perfume to the garden. This old-fashioned variety is renowned for its deliciously scented and very beautiful flowers. It was first introduced to Britain in 1700, and it's perfect for training over a wigwam of bamboo canes in a sunny, well-drained site. Grown in individual plug cells, each plant measures about 7 - 10cm tall (from the base of the root to the top of the plant). They are ideal for keen gardeners who have a greenhouse where the plants can be grown on until they are ready for planting out in the garden once all chance of frost has passed. Please note: We grow these especially for you, so we do request full payment is made when you place your order. See above for despatch dates. To ensure that your plants arrive in the best possible condition each pack will be despatched individually. Please also be aware that the pot in the photograph is not supplied.     How your order will arrive

    Pots and Packaging
    Large plugs are placed in a cardboard mold in groups of five. This is then placed inside a fitted box ready for transport.

    Preparation
    The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.
