Galanthus, commonly called snowdrop, is a spring mainstay up and down the UK. Along with crocuses, you can expect them to pop up first in any given year once the ground warms up, a pleasant little suprise to start off the year's blooms. They can form great little borders to mark out the edge of a lawn, or you can put patches in amongst other, taller plants to create some beautiful verticality.
