Overview

5.0m Double Sided Green and White Stripe Awning

Double sided awnings are designed to shade a large area, with no requirement to fix them to a wall. Stylish and simple, they are a popular choice both for domestic use and for shops, cafes and restaurants. They are an ideal way to shade your dining table or keep your kids out of the sun; they also provide protection from showers.

Bigger than a traditional patio umbrella, they consist of two retractable awnings mounted on a central frame. The total area covered is 3.5m x 3m (large) or 3m x 2m (small). The weight of the canopy is around 15kg and the frame is just over 25kg.

Operation is by manual crank; the crank is fixed on the left hand side and operates both awnings at once. The awnings can be projected as little or as much as you require, up to the maximum specified above. The angle of tilt can be varied as required and the fabric rolls back when the awning is not in use. (Arm to horizon is 8 degrees).

Material details

Hard-wearing fabrics
Our awnings are available with a choice of fabrics: 300gsm polyester or 300gsm acrylic.To view the complete colour selection click here. Both the polyester and the acrylic are waterproof, rot-proof, PU and UV stabilised and easy to sponge clean. The acrylic is slightly more fade resistant than the polyester.
UV Protection
We test our fabrics using the leading testing agency Intertek to establish the level of UV protection afforded by the various colours. All fabrics tested (from the lightest ivory, to the darkest) had a Rated UPF of 50+, meaning a maximum of 2% of UV rays will pass through the fabric.


  • The awning fabric is made from hardwearing, waterproof, rot-proof, PU and UV stabilised 280gsm polyester and is easy to sponge clean.

How your order will arrive

Two Man Delivery Service

This awning's over 5m long and weighs over 50kg, so it needs to be delivered via a two-man service to ensure it gets into your garden safely and securely. The team will get in contact to set a delivery date and on the day, they'll give you a courtesy call an hour ahead of delivery. Someone will need to sign for it (can't leave something this valuable in a safe place!), and the delivery team will put the package wherever is most convenient for you.
