  Place garden canes around your bird table to keep pigeons out. It may sound a little crazy but it works!

• How do I treat a bird table?

  It is best to keep the wood untreated. However, if you would like to treat it for longevity, we recommend using a water based wood stain as these are least toxic to birds.

• Are bird tables suitable for all seasons?

  Yes, they are suitable for all-year-round feeding.

  Bird tables are traditionally made out of wood. If you're looking for something natural, wood is a grear choice. Bird tables can also be made out of metal and even plastic. Although these are not as natural looking, they are easier to maintain and clean, so are a great choice if you're looking for something more low-maintenance

• How Do I Clean My Bird Table?

  It is important to make sure your bird table is clean and free from bacteria and fungus, as these can cause wild birds to develop infections. You can clean your bird table using a brush and a bucket of weak solution bleach. Once you have scrubbed it with the solution make sure all the bleach residue has been removed by giving it a good rinse. It is also a good idea to move your bird table to a different place in you garden a couple of times a year, to prevent a build up of disease in one area.
