 How does it work?

Dual technology:

- Ultrasonic sound waves:

Ultrasonic waves are high-pitched sound waves at frequencies too high for humans and most pets to hear. These ultrasonics are thought to be extremely uncomfortable for spiders and crawling insects, causing them to leave the room space. However, ultrasonics waves are like ordinary light waves - they will not penetrate solid objects such as walls and cupboards. Which means that ultrasonic devices can only be effective in the room you plug the device into, meaning that the insects could hide in the walls, ceilings and in cupboards and behind curtains. Hence the second technology - electromagnetic waves.

- Electromagnetic waves:

Once plugged into any ordinary plug socket, the device sends electrical pulses through the wiring of your house. Whenever electricity passes through a wire, electromagnetic waves are created. Electromagnetic waves have been suggested to affect the nervous systems of spiders and are thought to be the main cause of spiders leaving the house.
If you just need to clear crawling insects from the visible room space, then you can save money by buying cheaper ultrasonic-only repellers.
