Overview

Ideal for naturalised planting schemes. This gorgeous anemone looks wonderful when planted in big, naturalised swathes, where there is a reliable amount of moisture. It forms a low, softly hairy mound of foliage, which in late spring and early summer is topped with elegant, lilac-backed white flowers that have a central cluster of deep purple-blue anthers. Happiest in a sunny spot, it can also be grown in lightly dappled shade.

Care guide

Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant in spring. Avoid moving the plant since it resents disturbance. Where necessary lift and divide congested clumps in early spring.

Pots and Packaging
Our 9cm pots are given extra packaging to protect the plant. This extra packaging consists of a recyclable plastic blister pack which is then placed in a cardboard box for delivery.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.

Typically plants are delivered ready to plant and will take some time to settle, grow and look more like the product image above.
