What do they do?

They create a low-frequency vibration in the soil that spreads out within the target area. Such vibrations aim to mimic the sound created by another animal digging - such as a predator or a competing mole. Moles are generally solitary animals with their own territory.

Mole repellers are the humane way to clear moles from your lawn. Just push the devices into your lawn and leave them - it's that easy.
When the devices are active, you'll feel a vibration and hear a bleeping sound every 30 seconds or so. Please allow up to 30 days in the soil for the units to do their work.

No traps, no dangerous poisons. Rechargeable batteries included.

Even on a cloudy winter's day, the solar panels will generally receive enough sunlight to continue to run the devices effectively, however the rechargeable battery backup will ensure the unit works well into the night.

What size area do they cover?

This depends on the type of ground you've got. Chalky ground transmits noise more effectively than sand, for example. We expect them to cover up to a 25m (82¼ft) radius around each mole repeller 1963m² (21130ft²).

Installation

Where do I position the devices?

The units should not be inserted amongst the moles or they will scatter in all directions. It should be used in the same way as a sheepdog "herds" sheep - to guide the moles in the desired direction slowly "following" them with the unit as they move away from it.

You may find that in the early stages, molehills appear more frequently and even close to the unit.
