Overview

This showy dwarf syringa does not get too large, but produces its larger than average clusters of scented pink flowers repeatedly - usually with a big flush in spring, but then off and on again into autumn. These two things make Flowerfesta perfect for smaller gardens, but it will also be quite happy in a large pot on the patio (provided it is kept well fed and watered), where it will flower its little socks off.

Care guide

When planting incorporate some well-rotted compost or manure and some mycorrhizal fungi (Rootgrow) into the planting hole. In mid-summer remove the faded flower heads carefully using secateurs and avoid damaging the young shoots. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of organic matter or manure around the base of the plant in early spring.

Pots and Packaging
Larger pots (2L and above) are wrapped in waxed paper and then attached to a cardboard base so they stay stable in the box. The waxed paper prevents the compost from spilling out and gives the base some added protection from damp compost. For large numbers of plants, pallets may be used for shipping.

Preparation
The nursery will ensure the plant is moist while it's waiting to be picked up. Our quality control team waters the plant before packing them where necessary to make sure that the plant is suitably watered for transport. Plants with long delicate stems are secured with canes to prevent damage.
